To Live is Christ
1 Philippians 1:21-25

Because in my case, life means Christ’s life,
and death his death, from which he rose to heaven.
If I mean to live on in this body
God will do good through me.

But which one should I choose?
I cannot choose;
I am torn between the two.
Myself I would prefer
to spend my days with Christ,
which, you know, would be much better.
But then I love you
and can only do your good—
and therefore Christ’s!—
while I remain on earth.

This weighs upon my heart so much,
I’ll have to stick around here a while
and think about it.
